About
My name is Lacey, and I am the owner of All Laced Up Taxidermy. I grew up in New Mexico, following my parents into the woods hunting and fishing and being outdoors. I still take great pride in being a woman in this industry, as well as one well versed in the outdoors. Hunting has been in my blood for as long as I can remember. Bow, rifle, muzzleloader. It didn’t matter what it was so long as I got to be out in the woods. I carried my love of animals and the outdoors into my adult life.
I started my adventure into this art form nine years ago, though my love for the animals I preserve predates that by leaps and bounds. I learned under a mentorship in a little town in south Texas called Del Rio, where my shop is as well as my tanner. With many a day spent learning from several taxidermists around the state of Texas, I have grown over the years and continue to do so with each animal I mount. I have competed at the state level in both New Mexico and Texas and have taken home several ribbons to show for it, and loved learning from those in the business. I work primarily in mammals and game heads, as well as bones and skulls.
Taxidermy is an ever evolving artform. With new advancements every day in what we know about animal behavior and the technology we have on hand, we have the ability to make our mounts more and more accurate and life like.
As a small business, I limit my intake to make certain I am not overwhelmed and that I am allowed ample time to work and perfect each trophy that is brought to me. From the first harvest, to the once in a life time, every animal is important. Good luck to all my fellow hunters out there and I look forward to getting to help preserve your memories and trophies for years to come!
